  1. I am a complete newbie, as this is my very first time trying to do anything with video editing.... I followed the instructions for converting the dvix to svcd http://www.vcdhelp.com/divxtovcd.htm . I had no problem getting the sound from it, but when I open up TMPEnc to convert it to the new VCD format I get no picture at all with it, the screen stays black.... from reading the instructions it says I should be able to watch the video as it goes.... I have tried both the PAL and NTSC format.... The DVIX is PAL, but from what I understand I can convert it back to NTSC just by selecting the correct template...?

    I have a PIII 1Ghz, Geforce 2 GTS video, 512MB mem, 30GB HD ATA 133, running WinXP.....

    Thanks for any help

  3. I read through all the post on what to do for the blank screen problem and it still would not work for me.... I can get sound file no problem but it is still a no go on the video portion of it... now I did try and use DivFix to see if I could fix the file and it said it was wright protected... does that mean anything?

    Thanks
