  1. So MeGUI only allows (?) subs ripped from blu-rays in .SUP format. How do I get these to encode into an AVI file as MeGUI's muxer only allows .SRT Files to be encoded into the video. Help?

This is meant to provide you with further information only and not to discourage you or make you come to the conclusion that your task is impossible.

The muxer probably only allows SRT subtitles to keep things simple and not because SUP is illegal or anything like that in AVI. If you are playing these files on a PC, no problem, but you do need to understand that many playback devices such as streaming media players and DVD/BD players do not play subtitles at all inside of AVI containers. They require the subtitles to be in a separate file with the same name as the movie. So if your movie is MYFILM.AVI, then your subtitles need to named MYFILM.SRT.

It's good to convert to SRT because support for SRT playback is very good on just about everything. However, do note that if you are using a language that does not use the Latin alphabet (ie. Russian, Japanese, Thai, Hebrew, Arabic, Hindi, etc.) that you may have subtitle display issues, even on a PC.
