Disney buys Star Wars. What are your thougts?

My question is does this make Leia an official Disney Princess?....

Honestly though I think this could be a good thing. Maybe some fresh ideas.

Actually they bought Lucasfilm not just Starwars.

I found it interesting ILM was not part of it. Must be too rich for even Disney to buy.

I think in the end it was inevitable. Lucas will not live to be 900 years old like Yoda so he had to do something with his film company. He's supposed to still have creative input or some kind of guardianship so they can't do whatever they want with it.

I think maybe I would have liked it to go to Paramount or Universal instead of Disney. Maybe its just a bad perception to have Star Wars that associated with a kiddy company like Disney. THough they did do the Pirates movies with Johnny Depp right? So I mean if my memory is right on that they can think outside the Mickey box from time to time.

So long as they don't run it into the ground and have some kind of grand plan and not just a money grab I'll be ok with it. Just so it doesn't fade away into nothing like Yoda does in Return of the Jedi when he dies.

Edit - does this mean they could finally release the Star Wars Holiday Celebration on Bluray?

Or what about a new cgi 3d Howard the Duck movie? Maybe it could have something to do with the afflac duck?
