P Studio 16 - Menu chapters out of order themselfs

I used studio 14 on my fathers computer. When I made the menu, which was a custom menu from scratch, I would get all kinds of odd issues, from the Enter button on the remote doing nothing (on DVD player but not computer), to linked chapters not playing the right chapter

so i'm trying 16, which is a huge step in a different direction from 14. First it lags my C2D /w 8GB & w764 bit, but the menu system seems to be more advanced, but I am still having this problem

I imported the old project, the menu didn't import, which i'm not surprised considering how different the menuing system is. But every time I try to link chapters on the 4 bottom links, it highlights them out of order in the preview, and sometimes when I set a new chapter link it makes it chapter 1, which should be the image on top to the left. Sometimes, I dont' know what chapter number its going to make it, sometimes every time I make a new link it makes it number 1 and the previous one 2

this is very frustrating as I like the other functions of studio. I don't want to have to export every single chapter to a mpeg with a calculated bitrate and try to use dvd-lab, which in itself is waaay more advanced then what I need this simple menu for, and I still haven't gotten the hang of

ick that is going to be a problem, the source files are all over my server and hard drive

I have been messing with dvd-lab and I THINK I've gotten the hang of it. I just wish Pinnacle 14 custom menus and 16 menus would work right in cases of mixed menus (some images, some text)

Right now i'm getting the bitrate from pinnacle studio when it calculates it to fit on a dvd, and using that bitrate exporting mpeg2/mpa1 in a large file to import into dvd-lab.
