  1. I have a file that from my view looks like it should play fine on my xbox 360 yet it does not. It starts up and then gives the cannot play file blah blah message. If i play it on vlc player it runs perfect. Can anyone help me identify if maybe there is an issue? Mediainfo below and thanks for your time:

    Maybe the xbox 360 doesn't like the mpeg layer 2 audio in the avi. It's usually mp3. You could reconvert to mp3 with for example xmedia recode or avidemux, under the video choose copy/copy video stream and under audio mp3, and save as new avi.
