I have purchased a Canon HF M406 camcorder recently. It is almost identical to the HF M41, but it doesn't have mini jack microphone input, only a Canon DM-100 advanced mini shoe mic can be attached to it. I wonder if that microphone really worth the price? I read some reviews on Amazon telling about that it doesn't give a better quality than the built in microphone. Is that true? Does anyone have experience about this?
