Hey guys, forgive me if I am reposting or posting in the wrong section, but we are noobs!!
Ok, so we have just rented a Sony FX7 HDV camcorder...we were told it records in HD but will not record Hidef onto cassettes...is this true...what we were told is that you must have a firewire connected from camera to computer and record straight to the hard drive
When connecting camera to mac, we opened imovie and tried to import footage, but either it does not save or it crashes
iMovie says there is quicktime component that it is missing that is available in the update, but the updates cost money now (leave it to apple to charge us for a ex-free program) I am sure that there must be some way to capture footage without this update or even through iMovie at all
So my question...is there a program besides imovie that will do this? I also have Final Cut Pro 7. If not, how do I do it?
Thanks Everyone!!
