I recently bought this plaver (chipped) for £160 after reading various rave reviews and I'm delighted with the DVD and audio (& MP3) quality.

However I'm unable to play any of my SVCD or VCD's because of stuttering and freezing etc.

Can anyone confirm which CDR's work properly on this player and which firmware version I should be running ? ( and how to check!! )

Will the fact that it is chipped affect me being able to upgrade the firmware ?
