  1. I have just converted a movie to svcd using TMPGEnc. but it plays very jerky. i was burned in nero at 4xwrite is there anything i can do about this or that how it is.

  2. Yes, I have the same problem too with encoding SVCD'S,

    I am using TPMGEnc, I split the .avi file audio into wave using Vdub,

    then using a bitrate ConstantQuality max 2500 min 300,

    Motion Search (Highest Quality) Very Slow

    This does make a huge file size but I use cut/merge TPMGEnc and normally use three or four discs for a movie

    Burn on NERO 4x sometimes 10x

    I was told that some DVD players can't read high bitrates sometimes not even 2500 so I am currently trying a lower bitrate.

    Also something to do with the Field Order in the advanced tab try the opposite that it is set at (I am trying this too...) A or B

  3. I use the "desinterlace" and resize "precise bicubic to 480x480" filter with virtualdub, frameserving to tmpgenc and encode de final mpeg. It works for me without jerks!
