Wanted Region Free codes for LG HT806PH

Hi I have a all in one system surround sound and dvd player I am trying to find a region free code and method to apply it searched on google and on here but found nothing . I am thinking its just not possible to do it.

Here is a posted hack for the LG HT086ST. You can always try it.

1. Switch on LG HT806ST
2. Open the DVD tray
3. Press the "0" zero button 3 times till a blue screen with
region options appears
5. Choose "0" zero for region free.

Well well, maybe it just works on the HT806ST and not HT806PH. But don't give up. Keep checking. Sometimes new hacks surface. If you look under DVD Hacks in the menu list on the left, the most recent will be listed at the top.

This is true, but they don't always work. I am always suspicious of people who join our forums simply to post a hack and then they never login again. We've had them come in waves when in a week 3 to 5 people will dig up old posts looking for hacks years ago and they'll post a hack. It's really strange and suspicious.

Speciality players of all types, which includes combo players (DVD/TV, DVD/VCR, etc.), portables, and home theater systems have ALWAYS been almost impossible to unlock. The odds of this LG ever being unlocked are close to zero. I'm sorry but that is the reality of it. If you want region free you need to do research before you buy. The days of just being able to buy almost anything and unlock it are long gone.

Do you have any idea why people post false hacks? I don't see how they can get anything out of that, but there are many crazy people around.

Viking61 - my best guesses...
1) Hollywood does this deliberately to mess with people. They've been known to put corrupted files on Bit Torrent for download.
2) Some people just like to waste the time of other people.
3) If the hack is actually destructive (unlikely but possible) then some people may enjoy it when others destroy their hardware. The internet has enabled a lot of really sick and destructive behavior.
