VobSub displays subtitles with semi-transparent opaque boxes with an overlap when it's 2 lines of text.

It doesn't make a difference if I change the font, font-size, border settings etc. Is there a way to fix this so it doesn't overlap?

I am ultimately trying to convert and hardcode a video to DV format with boxed subtitles. A method other than using vobsub is fine as well, as long as it can add boxes to the subtitles and reads unicode.

    Thanks!

I found out how to insert subtitles with TMPGenc video mastering works instead of using vobsub; for those that want to do this, here's how:

-Add the clip -> go to 'Filters' tab in the clip editor.
-Choose 'Subtitles' filter (if it's not visible press 'Edit Filter List' and enable it).
-Press 'Edit Menu' -> Import Subtitle (import the sub)
-'Edit Menu' -> Layout settings, choose Enable background color, set opacity to 20-80% etc

    Done!

I'd still like to know if vobsub can be fixed if anyone knows how to!
