Problem with Smartripper

When trying to rip a dvd, smartripper locks up while trying to unlock the drive. I played it with windvd first, but it still freezes. Can anyone help me?

I have the same problem using Smartripper.
Some people do not have this problem at all. I beleive there
is some conflict in our window softwares. Some people in this forum mention about one of the file from Nero cause him the this problem and by removing it Smartripper will run OK. I beleive this is true . However I did not sucess to solve the problem with this method.
If you must use the Smartripper I sugest you clean all of your computer and reinstall Windows. That's painfull. I did not do it that way.
Instead I get rid off Smartripper. Use CladDVD. It's simpler and run with no problem. Try it, you will like it. ( Down load CladDVD in TOOL page of this site).

If you have a problem with running other software with Nero, there is a boot option on the Nero site, which lets you boot up which programme you want to use. Nero has been known to conflict with EZCD creator, but I downloaded the patch to stop conflicts between these two and they both work fine.
Smartripper also locked for me aswell, but only when I loaded the dvd first, then opened smartripper. I tried opening Smartripper first then inserting dvd, and smartripper found it ok.......worth a try m8.!!
