  1. Hi guys i became like you, psycho . Tonight i was at a bar with a friend drinking bear and i talked about some tape that i made on our forum, one guy approached me and sad that he has Panasonic dvd 960 that doesn't reads dvd's occasionally and heard me talking so do i know what could it be? I sad Panasonic never made 960 type dvd do you mean recorder? Yep the guy sad aha did you mean e60 I sad i think so he answered. Me although have enough equipment i became as I sad in the beginning, well if you don't wanted him i could buy it from you how much do you sell it well you could pay me my 3 beers ( around 8$) are you kidding nope ok went to his house got the dvd and bring it home. I didn't had high hopes but on my surprise everything worked perfect ( i did cleaned the lens and the black round thing that has rubber i forgot it name it was dirty and i know it can lead to problems put dvd ram dvd r recorded tv played mp3 jpegs from sd card all ok ) i used the scart connector it has 2 av1 and av2 all ok tested the dv input also ok ( only thing untested pc card ). And to my surprise there is no ypbr output on the back ( progressive output ), hm i know that this machine had to have one it is apparent also on the user manual ( pdf online ) us model. I was confused i had solid experience with hardware equipment but this was new the cover is ok nothing broken or anything so what mysterious model can this be, orseto ?
Also that bothers me is that there is no line nr( noise reduction ) input in the picture settings ( like on e55 and es15 and es10) i know the nr is transparent and is not doing anything but yet again i want to see it in the menu ( e60 is older or newer than e55 ?)

The exact model number is Dmr e60ep

    Service mode reveals

    Main firmware 0520EC
    Region2
    Timer 1000EC
    Drive B107
    Rom M001
Laser used 1278 hours ( not much i guess )
    date of production 20040507

one more thing is not saying diga on the front like my others dvd recorders

could it be some east German dvd recorder made in Transylvania

I see references to multiple models.

    E60
    E60S
    E60EP

There also appears to be a US and UK version. And it wouldn't surprise me at all if there are differences between the models.
