Hi,

I'm kinda in a tricky situation here. My job includes quality checking music videos and full length movies. The formats that our system supports are .3gp, .wmv, .flv, .mp4, .m4v. Sometimes, while our production team converts the raw files - usually .avi or .mpeg to the above mentioned formats, the volume sometimes is slightly lower and sometimes very-very lower than that from the original or raw source. The production team usually wouldn't wanna admit that the audio levels have decreased. So, I was wondering if there's any kinda tool which would help me identify the level of audios for all the above mentioned formats. And also, what should be the level of audios ideally for any video. e.g, any video played in a vlc media player, it by default sets the vol to 100 or 112 percent. so should it be like the system vol is half the way and the player's vol is about 100 percent and the audio needs to be quite audible or something.

Would highly appreciate any kinda help with this regards.

Thanks
