  1. I had a hdd go fault on me with tons of bad sectors. I've replaced the disk and copied over the data - the problem is I know I have corrupted avi's but I know know which ones.

Apart from sitting and watching avi's for the next year I'm looking for a script that I can run that will tell me if the avi's are bad. I will then trash the file and recreate it.

Anyone have such a script or know what I can use?

I don't think you will find any such specific tool.

Maybe could you try ffmpeg and try reconvert the video with fastest settings and see if it fails.
