  1. Hi everybody. This is my first post here. Well I've recently moved on to BDs and don't know a lot of things about it. I'm using these blank medias http://mcs.am/en/products/blu-ray-di...-id-brand.html

The thing I'm worried about is that the description says No ID Brand. What does that mean? Am I buying not authentic product here?
Any answer would be much appreciated.
    Thanks.

That means don't buy them. If there is any doubt in your mind....walk away.

    Generally, very good advice
No ID brand means there's no "Verbatim" or whatever brand/ text on the optical printable disc surface messing up your own "artwork", as hech54 knows better than most of us here

Thanks for reply. How can I be sure it's Verbatim, not any other brand? Is there a program I could use to verify it?

Buy from a reputable dealer only. Fakes are inevitable. In principle, the media ID should tell you the manufacturer, but it does not show in the package. Burning software (e.g. the free ImgBurn) often can show the ID.

Astral85 - Your link is broken. I found what you are talking about though. I know nothing about Armenian online retailers and Yahoo Finance doesn't even list the Armenian currency as one you can get an exchange rate for so I can't even convert the price to US dollars to see if it seems reasonable or not for this type of Verbatim disc. You are on your own here.

In a best case scenario the "no ID" means that these are blank ink jet printable BD discs. In a worst case scenario it means that the discs themselves have no manufacturer ID and may be bootlegs.

Verbatim recently announced that they are stopping production of consumer disc media so if you feel lucky you may want to buy these discs before the price starts to rise.

I paid 3800 AMD for a blank media. In USD it's $10. ImgBurn says "BD Disc Information (L0):
    Disc ID: VERBAT-IMf-000"

No of course. $10 for one BD-R DL. I've ordered from a japanese seller this pack:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Blu-Ray-Blank-Media-Disc-50gb-BD-R-Printable-bluray-/300530...35576421915248

    Seems a good deal.
