When trying to shorten and join 2 videos all the cuts work perfectly but the sound is very fast.
Using the latest version of avidemux with no conversion selected (only copy) the process seemed to work swiftly.
The picture was fine but the audio is a not.
    Can anyone help please

What's your video source, video and audio codec? Identify using mediainfo.

In a .mp4 and you are saving as a new mp4?

Try choose AAC under Audio and see how it works. You will lose quality by reconverting but it might work better.

You can also try edit with...hmm.... SolveigMM Video Splitter but it's not free.
