I've seen 3:2 on apps that are DUMB, in that they do not take into account the DAR/PAR and only look at the Storage AR (which doesn't really exist). So, 720x480 turns out to be 3:2 in that app, even though we all know it should either be considered 4:3 or 16:9.

Since we don't know the app yet, my guess is you should NOT choose 3:2, unless there is a further area where you can define the DAR (or PAR)...

Well when i apply inverse telecine if idont chose any resaizer on media info the final AR will be 3:2 or even when i resize from 720X480 to>712x480 then i get 3:2 but like U know anime have to be encoded to 23.976 and talking on ntsc world.

  5. If your source DVD is 4:3 you should output as 4:3. DVD uses a 720x480 (3:2) frame size to encode a 4:3 picture (or a 16:9 picture).

  6. Yes I think that I will use the workaround that give me 4:3 as final AR
