Hi All,
I recently purchased a CHD PVR80G - Stand-a-lone High def recorder.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/CL-PVR80G-Definition-Personal-Video-Recorder/dp/B00265BSP8
The unit works very well..... now I've got my head round it!
Records HDCP content to the HDD (Blurays, PS3, Xbox etc etc) .... and there is a little trick in getting the footage copied over to the SD Card....
(which is NOT permited according to the manufacturer) - found it by playing around
My only tiny gripe is the Audio recorded along with the video source is always on the verge of distortion, kinda heavily compressed/limited.... and very loud !!!!
just curious if anyone else out there has come across the same/similar audio problem ?
(maybe found a fix for it)
I've been in touch with CYP Europe and they are looking in to it for me. (but I dont hold out much hope)
Anyone ?

What Have The 'Romans' Ever done For Us ?

Hi,
I wanted to ask you a favour. I have a CHD-PVR1 and wanted to see if I could upgrade it to a CHD-PVR80G. I've got the drive installed on a long ribbon outside the box. But the device doesn't automatically pick up the configuration. I would expect it is configured with the jumpers inside the box. I would therefore like to see pictures of the inside of your version.
There are two screws at the back at the bottom and then five along the back at the middle between the RCA's. Once these are out, the black cover slides backwards off. If you can do this I would be immensely grateful. My plan is to have switching hard drives and a USB to IDE connector to take the hard disk straight to a PC.
If you have any questions do let me know.
Regards
D.
