  1. Hi there !

I have a lot of avi files containing errors (crashing my popcorn C200), which I fix using divfix. But Divfix is even enable to fix this file, mentioning it is not an avi file.

Can you please have a look at the media info below, and let me know why the popcorn can't read this format, as well as how to repair it ?

    Code:

It's an ogg/ogm file. Maybe you can try OGM to AVI.

  3. Thank you, Baldrick, but this program is not helping at all.
I am trying to drag and drop my file in it, but it is not working.

    Any other idea ?

    Many Thanks !

Did you try rename the .avi to .ogm first?

You can also try avidemux, open the video, under video and audio choose copy, under format avi, save as a new avi.

Or try reconvert it with for example freemake video converter, format factory, etc. Load it and select avi with xvid video for example.

  5. ok, I have renamed my file from avi to ogm, and was able to drag and drop it in "OGM to AVI" ... but the output is not an AVI file as I "wanted".

    Instead, I have :
    - a few srt and txt files (probably just logs ?)
    - My original ogm file
    - My original ogm file renames into ".2.ogg" (which only seem to contain audio ?) - english audio track
    - an avi file (which only seem to contain video)
    - an ogg file (which only seem to contain audio file ?) - french audio track

... so in other words, my video and audio are splitted.
How may I merge the avi video file with the ogg french audio file ?

    Many Thanks !

Have you tried reconvert it with some of the tools I suggested?

Please don't create a new thread for SAME problem.

Buy the Stargate DVD instead of downloading pirated compressed copies.

    - yes, see my post before. I have tried ogm to avi but output are several files "splitted".

    - Freemake Video Converter is producing an avi file which my popcorn starts to read, but the image freezes and the audio continue to play. Running divfix afterwards on it is not finding any error

    - FormatFactory takes 3 seconds to convert my 350 Mb file into a 295 ko file which I can obviously not play

    Code:

That's the problem with Downloading from WHATEVER - you're at the mercy of a bunch of video idiots!. Who the hell would put a DivX-formatted h.263 video stream and marry it to a Vorbis audio stream, putting it into an OGG container? What, just because it's got Vorbis audio one should make it an OGM?
Someone seriously doesn't understand formats, standards, and good encoding practices...

I agree with hech54, stop messing with WAREZ!

    Scott

  10. ok - I will be very clear here. I am really tired to see replies on posts which do not have anything to do with the posted issue here, which I am trying to solve. So please if you have interesting information provide it, if not do not post for nothing.

You do not know me, but you seem to be sure I am a warez fan ...
I will not tell you where this file is coming from, nor the history.

I have a technical issue I need to solve, I al posting here as this is THE forum to discuss this issue, that's it.

    Many Thanks.

fa355115 - NOBODY here cares if you ever get this file to play. NOBODY.

NOBODY here is paid to care.

We have forum rules against warez and by letting us know that you have "acquired" a file that you did not create yourself, you are in violation of those rules. You were shown kindness by this thread not being locked. If you want to develop an angry attitude, go ahead, but you'll just get your thread locked.
