DTS OR AC3 to mpeg1/2 4 divx or h264

Hi all ! I'm new on here and yesterday bought a cheap 3d TV a LOGIK. through its USB connection it will play the 3d mkv files I have but only supports mpeg1/2 4 divx or h264 audio. so I cant get any sound. I spent 14 hours yesterday trying to figure out how I can get the audio changed in a mkv file, with no success as they usually come as DTS. there is the popcorn converter to Ac3 but that doesnt help me either. I've Downloaded about 30 free converters trying to find one and now I'm stuck !

Surely this is possible ? I'd even accept a whole video conversion that would take hours ? but dont know how to keep the same quality or good enough quality to watch with it being bluray 3d ? Please please please someone help me ! if I had hair I'd of pulled it all out by now.

Well after spending all day again today just found a program call mkvtomp4 and that worked a treat !
