Ok, let's get crackin':
I watch a lot of anime which I download and watch as an .MKV file. I just got a new Blu-Ray Player for Christmas (Sony BDPS580), which when I plug in a USB does not play .MKVs. I still want to watch it on the TV, so I converted it on an .AVI. When I watched it, the subtitles were too small for me to read. So my problem is is that I need to change the font size of the .MKV. I assume I need something to rip the subs, change font size, "place" it in the same spot and then convert the whole thing to an .AVI. Maybe there is some software that could help me solve this problem? Thanks so much.
System Info:
Windows 7
x64 (idk what this means, but just in case)

I guess you are hardcoding the subs in the picture?
Instead try extract the subtitles with mkvextractgui2 and then name the video and subtitle file like video.avi and video.srt . Play it on the sony and see if it finds the subtitle.
