Hi,
I want to buy Canon HF-M40 camcorder from the US (around 350 US$)
I want to buy the NTSC version since it's much cheaper than the PAL version (I live in Israel - PAL)
my question is what will be all the implications of using a NTSC camcorder in a PAL country
Also I would appreciate your recommendations about this model (please consider its current price 350$)
Thanks,
Amir

One of the top (if not the best) deals there are out there now.
if you try to make PAL DVD - video will stutter slightly, you need to change frame rate, but most DVD players in PAL countries play NTSC DVD (60i, 720x480)
if you mix your footage with PAL frame rate footage, you will have to make a decision what the final frame rate would be, so part of your video will stutter slightly
not sure about taxes and returning procedures in case something goes wrong, nothing positive in this I guess
new kind of media players don't care what the frame rate is, media players such as WDTV Live, Dune, Popcorn, iPhones, Tabs
it is your call
