I go to the web site semi-annually or so to see what progress has been made on the project, but the web site http://24hourloop.com appears down. So I tried the next best thing, email to the author, but that bounced. Has the YAMF project ended? I can't seem to find any information about it.

I cannot answer your question but I can tell you that there is currently no DNS information for 24hourloop.com, so that's why it seems to be down. Without DNS resolution it cannot be reached. The domain name registration was updated in September of this year but I cannot tell you what those updates were, just that there were updates. The updates could simply be that the owner took down the website.
