I apologize if this has been covered a million times, but an intitial search found no topics on this issue.
I have some VOB files (mostly music videos, some WWF PPV matches and the like) that I wish to convert to SVCD format. I've attempted DVD2AVI's 'Save Project' feature, leaving me with the *.D2V and *.WAV files, but the video quality is always very blockly and just plain nasty.
I decided to give decoding the VOB to an uncompressed AVI a go, but when I did that, DVD2AVI split the file every 2000 frames (approx every 66.73 sec). Is there any way to decode a VOB to an AVI without having the AVI split into half a dozen 66.73 second files? I thought about using VirtualDub to join the AVIs, but unfortunately I don't have the necessary HDD space to do so. It's either the split AVIs or a whole one.
Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you.

I would, personally, join the avis in Vdub, but don`t save them, just frameserv them into TMPGEnc. This way you don`t need to have the space for the second AVI, just room for the final MPG. Well, you need some "working space" too, but that goes without saying. So I won`t say it. DARN! Too late

Thanks for the tip. Once I figured out the AVIHandler thing, it worked fine. Unfortunately, my SVCD still looked like crap, so I guess that's my problem now.
