Security api failed 60008

I was recently trying to Install a program called Superior Drummer 2.0 to my Macbook Pro and in the beginning setup screen right before it started to download it asked me to type in my password then proceeded to give me the error message 'Security api failed 60008' I am very new Mac and Apple products and I am very confused as to how to get this to work...

Long ago I got similar error like, while setting up a new printer.

Unable to complete the process.... Error type..... Security API failed with error -60008...."
while installing a new printer on on my Mac OS 10.x.x.
but finally i figured out the permission for printer setup utility.app was incorrect while log-in as admin (root).

First check your /Users/<your user name>/Library/Logs directory for particular logs may give you hint.

Make sure you have properly configured file permissions, if so...
try recreating the /private/tmp directory.
