Hi,

There IS a NEED -- badly --, for a simple efficient BATCH VIDEO + AUDIO (from videos) DEMUXER...

... that will (or would) extract the audio * track off (several of course : I mean batch) videos, whatever their container and/or format -- or at least the most common ones.


* and the silent video track as an option, while we're at it.



My request is so obvious and simple that even your cat or newborn little sister should be able to use such a utility. Tough complicated solutions do exist and, therefore, are off-topic.




So far, or as far as I know, nothing is convenient enough :


-- Yamb (+ Mp4box) won't BATCH ! And works with MP4 container only, anyway ; not AVI (if I'm not mistaken) ;


-- FFMPEG, though able to batch, requires from the user to type the extensions (audio formats) of the audio files to come ; or to replace tham after extracting (so, not serious, despite its showoff command line use) ;


-- Media Player Classic, up to its 1.3.2225.0 (x86, Home Cinema) version or so, comes with a VERY handy tool : DSM Converter, that demuxes anything in a snap, it seems. But NOT "BATCHABLE", the bitch ! Darn, sigh...

"Plus" : the people or team that maintain(s) MPC... trashed that great tool, from newer MPC versions, pretending that the "MKV container outpassed" the almost unknown DSM !.. Come on : it's not the DSM container, that's in question, it's only the -- indispensable -- DEMUX MPC function or tool. "Political" debate, here, or what ?..


-- MediaCoder : way too complicated (try explaining demux with that piece of c..p to newbies !) and not even or actually / totally free...


-- VLC, may be ? Though a good player, OK, always too difficult to use to convert / extract anything...




Ain't I right ?.. How could you not agree ?

Would someone be smart and generous enough to... DO SOMETHING -- something nice, as EASY as DSM Converter, simple (drag'n'drop), AND FREEWARE (should I mention ?) of course ?..

... against such a terrible + existential frustration ?
