    Which Vegas 9 product?

Explain your Vegas project and "render as" settings

Are you trying to make a 1920x1080i Blu-Ray disc, AVCHD DVDR disc or 720x480i DVD?

What is your CPU and hard disk setup? Your video and tmp folder should be on a different drive from the OS.

VMSP versions 10 and 11 are much improved.

That CPU should work. A second internal drive would offer more isolation.

Are you sure you have adequate disk space for temp files?

i increase the space for temp files to the max and the program still shuts down. i will try moving all of the picture and music onto the computers hard drive instead of using from the extreral drives.
