Hi, I have a laptop that I watch movies on, but I would like to watch them on the tv..
My laptop only has a HDMI and a eSATA port, and my tv has a S-Video and some RCA ports.
Is there any way to connect this up?
If so what is the cheapest and easiest way to do so?
Thanks

Are the movies from your hard drive or are playing the movies from disk (if from disk are the disk blu-ray or dvd)?

This is the cheapest thing I'm aware of that has a decent user rating. You will also need a HDMI cable if you don't already have one and RCA audio cables and s-video cable as well. You will lose picture quality esp if you are viewing 1080P content.
If at some point you start to run out of disk space on your laptop, I would look at an external HD and a WDTV. This combination would allow you to have massive amount of storage. (you would still need the above to get the signal to your TV or upgrade to a TV that has HDMI inputs.)Murphy's law taught me everything I know. -

Be aware the picture quality will be low:

ya, that is pretty bad, but i guess its better than watching a hd screen from the side o.o
