How to setup FLV streaming with crtmpserver C++ RTMP server

crtmpserver is a high performance real time media streaming server able to stream recorded or live media. We will demonstrate how to build and use crtmpserver to stream FLV files in Debian 6 server. We intend not to modify the source, so there is no C++ programming involved.

First we make sure we have the build tools we need.

apt-get update
apt-get install build-essential libssl-dev cmake subservsion

Fetch the source code through subversion.

svn co --username anonymous https://svn.rtmpd.com/crtmpserver/trunk rtmp
[enter] #password should be empty

Also works with mov, m4v,mp4,mp3,m4a,f4v in addition to flv.
