  1. I did a online search, I noticed most programs do not handle MVI file format, and those that do seem to fail at some point
    through the process. I went to canon website and other places, talk about the problem but no solution.

    Any advice, help etc or direction would be nice,

    The file plays on Quicktime from apple , tried on a lot of players crash or not run at all.

    Most cameras ship with some sort of software for manipulating the files your camera creates. You will likely need to use that software to convert the files into another format which regular tools then support.

  4. I haven't figured out how to convert an MVI into something playable on a standard winbox but VLC player works fine for playback on my win7 post Celeron netbook
