    I've used this program before, but now the video preview won't show up at all.

    All I get when I click to preview is a message in the status bar "video file is not open"

    I've tried several machines (all WinXP Sp2 and SP3), different versions and different kind of videos.

    I have also installed DirectVobSub but no help.

    Any ideas?

    Solved. Missing codecs, not included in the app and no mention of the need for this during install of the page.

    Anyway, after the k-lite codec pack was installed everything worked fine, player comes up no probs.

    I just had the same problem. VSS stopped playing H264.

    Projects which I just recently had worked with opened with no preview window. Re-installing K-lite codec pack solved it.
