  1. hi!

    I have a TSST corp CDDVDW SH-S223f driver in my computer. It can read all types of discs except the DVD-RW. I can burn the disc and I can play it in my DVD player. When I put it into my DVD driver nothing happen, the driver doesn't recognise it and I can't see the files, which are on it. Is there any solution for my problam?

    That's the advice given on the links that I gave.

    I'd probably check it with a different brand of disc to be certain. As I have an external USB to SATA/IDE adapter, I'd test the drive using that - likely you don't, so that's maybe not an option.

    This is typical of a drive failure - will read Cd, won't read DVD, etc..

    If it has a warranty, I'd RMA it.

    I noticed it's a thin drive - in a laptop?

    Eh?

    drive == hardware
    driver == software
    firmware == software driver for an specific device

    if it's in a external case then that's where your problem lies....not all dvd burners will work in a external case.....it depends on the chipset of the external case and the chipset of the dvd burner.....
