I have changed the memory in my MacBook Pro December, 2010.
I have put 2 4GB Samsung Rams in it. The ram: 2X 4GB PC3-10600 DDR3 1333MHz 204 Pin SODIMMS
It started freezing when I use Lightroom and Photoshop or I watch movies on the computer. It usually freezes after 10-20 minutes after starting it. Everything runs smoothly until it freezes...
What did I do wrong?
Help!!!
Thanks!
Otto

see if you can find a mac version of a ram testing program. or take one stick out and see if the problem goes away then try the other. one stick may be bad.

Thanks!
I have put the original back and the Mac works without any problem! -
Rember and TechTool Pro/Deluxe have memory test suites.

From what the online memory sellers say, it seems that all the MacBook (Pro) Unibody models from 2008 to 2010 use 1066 MHz DDR3 memory, while the newer 2011 models use 1333 MHz DDR3 memory.
Maybe the hardware is very strict on memory frequency? -
If this is your model:
Macbook Pro (15inch, Mid 2010)
Then your ram you purchased is the wrong type.
Your model supports :
2X 4GB PC3-8500 DDR3 1066MHz 204 Pin only.
You can get the exact Ram you need from here.
