    Hi everybody.

First off, please accept my apologies since I can't remember when was the last time I posted a message to the Videohelp forums. After a real long time, I have a question for all experts here. Thank you in advance for your input!

I just want to know which one is the "best" currently available internal DVD burner. The thing is, as far as I have seen, it seems that the quality of a recorder is measured by how fast it can read/write a disc. I'm not interested in that. Actually, I always burn DVDs at the slowest possible speed.

With "best" I mean "most reliable" in terms of performing error-free tasks and longest durability (versatility also counts). Again, it's perfectly OK for me if it's not the fastest drive currently in the market. I really appreciate your help. Thank you so much!

It's hard to find a "bad" DVD burner these days. More important is the software you use (ImgBurn) and the discs you use (Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim). The rest will be just fanboy noise.

I agree with hech54, but if you want recommendations I've been happy with Pioneer and Samsung burners.
