Forgive my ignorance, I've attempted to search on the matter but haven't found much of use. I'm looking to rip a DVD [Of course], and everything is great, no problems, except for the resolution.
What is with the lack of ANY proper supporting 2.35:1 resolutions in the list? A proper 2.35:1 resolution should be roughly 640x272, or 1920x800 or 1280x544. Instead, what I get are 5:2 resolutions of 640x256, 1280x512 and 1920x768. I am not looking to play these on a DVD player as they're strictly for backing up to a video source, so when played back in VLC, they are in a incorrect shape and I have to manually change the aspect ratio in VLC.
And on a unrelated matter, why is there no crop options for any film aspect ratios? This is a DVD ripping\conversion program, and they can't think to include any form of home-movie DVD standards whatsoever? Just wondering.
It's a great program, and I'd hate to have to resort to another lower-end MKV creation software just to get one thing working.
