  1. Does the Sony DVP-NC600 play SVCD????

The reason i ask this is because i see no compatibility list for this player. What i do know about my dvd player Sony DVP-NC600 is that it does play VCD, and is cd-r and cd-rw compatible. But that's all i know. I have tried to make a svcd using a dvd rip with smartripper, dvd2avi, and tmpgenc and encoded my rip to svcd format, then i used nero svcd wizard and burned it onto disc. Then i put it in the player and it did not recognize the disc, and or said disc is dirty. But when i looked onto the disc with my computer i saw that the mpg was not converted into a .dat file like it was supposed to. Well i really don't know what to do but i am a newbie at this and i think i did everything right, but i believe and hope my Sony DVP-NC600 plays SVCD. So can someone help me on this?? maybe i burnt the svcd disc wrong??? dunno??? I am a NOOB. Thanx

  2. That means your DVD player doesn't support SVCD's. The SVCD movies files are not converted to .dat on the disc. Only VCDs are. So, it didn't recognize the disc because of that

  3. This is a great trick worth trying for those non-SVCD players.
