Hi I just dropped by to give you a quick update on my GUI.
I added the ability to split your ISO in 2 parts in order to burn your movie in 2 DVD Single Layer(DVD5)
instead of using an expensive Dual Layer DVD(DVD9).
Also fixed some minor bugs.
Instructions are the same but now if your movie is too big to fit on a dvd5 just select the split option, and after you have disk1 created press the Create 2nd disk button.

Advanced High Definition Video Disk Creator is a small GUI that
automates the process of tsmuxer and converts automaticaly your
high definition matroska video files(.mkv) to AVCHD DVD.
AVCHD is a codec made by $ony for its handycams and the
AVCHD DVDs can be reproduced only on Playstation 3 and Bluray Players.
But whats so special about this little program?
Well all of you have some terrabytes of high definition .mkv
movies that sit on your HDD and take a huge amount of precious space.
Now its time to backup all this video files, but playstation 3
and the bluray players doesnt support the .mkv format.
Advanced High Definition Video Disk Creator will convert all your
HD .mkv files in bootable AVCHD DVDs without reducing the quality
of your HD movies.
Say you have a movie that it is 4.36GB and its 1280x720 at 23.976 fps
after you pass it on Advanced High Definition Video Disk Creator it
will convert it to AVCHD DVD as it is 1280x720 at 23.976 fps.
The best thing is that it takes only 2-3 minutes for the process!!!
How to use it:
1)Fill in the name of the .mkv and .srt(if you choose the with subtites option) withouth the .mkv and .srt extension:
eg: My_name_is_earl.mkv and My_name_is_earl.srt are your files, you simply write My_name_is_earl on both gaps.
2)Choose if you want to use external subtitles(str) or not.
3)Choose AC3 or DTS audio(read the .nfo of your .mkv file)
4)Choose split option only if the final iso is too big to fit on one DVD5
this will split your ISO in 2 parts in order to avoid burning your ISO on an expensive DVD9.
5)Press create meta file button.
6)Press create iso button.
7)If you choose to split your movie in 2 parts after your first iso is built press the Create 2nd Disk button.
Thats all, enjoy your 1080p and 720p HD movies without a quality loss on your PS3 in only 5 minutes...

The best thing is that it takes only 2-3 minutes for the process!!!
How to use it
1)Extract the contents of the .exe file at the root directory of
one of your HDDs,like C:\
In the same dir without subdirectories place your .mkv and .srt file
Its important that the name of the .mkv and .srt doesnt contain any
invalid character like % . @ or even blank spaces.
A good example is
C:\Advanced High Definition Video Disk Creator by Gherudos\Eragon.mkv
C:\Advanced High Definition Video Disk Creator by Gherudos\Eragon.srt
2)Now run the Advanced High Definition Video Disk Creator.exe
at Filename of .mkv file enter the name of your .mkv file without
the extension .mkv
Filename of .srt file enter the name of your .srt file without
the extension .srt
3)If you want to add external subtitles check the box "With Subtitles"
else check the box that says "Without Subtitles".
4)Choose the sound type of your .mkv container:
AC3 or DTS.
5)If you know the exact Width Height and FPS write them else
leave the default width height and fps.
6)Press the create meta file button.
7)Press the create iso button.
8)Burn your ISO with your favourite burning application.
If the iso size is < 4.37GB you need a DVD5
else if the iso size is > 4.37GB you ll need a DVD9
end if
lol
On my next release I will add some options for splitting the video
in two parts in order to burn it on 2xDVD5 dvds and probably some
font options.

Hello
I have a Problem iwth AHDVDC, my Source is a DVD9 H264 mkv after the Job is done, the Image is to big for a DVD9 to burning where is the Problem?
Sorry for my English ^^ -
Almost works great!
In order for the outputed burned .iso to play in my sony blu-ray player I have to evtract the BMVD folder and run it throgh BDed it to set the 720p or 1080p. Then run the CLIPINF file through HxD to set the 5 or 6 to save the 720p 0r 1080p settings. After that I can burn the disc and everything works, including the Subtitles which I have not been abble to do on my own yet for some raeson. -
Hello, Ok I have followed the instructions really carefully and everything appears to go sweet. However, the .iso which is created at the root of c drive is only 1.25mb!????
This isn’t right and burning to disk just wastes another DVD. (had to try lol)
All I can think is that the .srt file I have created is done wrong or should have some text entered into it or some thing??????????
Any ideas my good fellows?
ps the width, hight and fps ar all correct to begin with!Genii nor fools may work without tools! -
Here is a screen shot of what i have done if it helps.
PS. The link above http://rapidshare.com/files/125230712/Advanced_High_Definition_Vi ... s.exe.html
downloads and installs v1 not v2.1 as indicated???
Would love to get this gui up and running so please help me some body. Is the .srt file for subtitles and is it required if subtitles are not?
Genii nor fools may work without tools! -
Ok guys, what’s the vibe with this .srt file? Where does it come form? Is it just a case of creating a new .txt file and naming it the same as the .mkv file but with a .srt extension?
Genii nor fools may work without tools! -
I just dropped by to give you a quick update of my gui,you can download the new version from my first message.
It might be a little to late but I Wish you a Happy New Year -
Gherudos,
Is there a way to convert an ISO to MKV? I've created BD ISOs and I purchased a TVIX 6500 some time ago... That being said, it will not play ISO files (yet). You're GUI is awesome but I'm... well... STUCK.
c2 -
Extract your ISO,inside BDMV\STREAM\
you ll find this file 00001.mts
take this rename it to 00001.mkv and try, else download mkvmerge and use it to pack it inside a mkv file. -
Hi There
It's a great piece of software if only I could iron out the problem below.
The whole gui process go's fine and burns onto a dvd9 with img, but whatever setting I use for height and width (I check the MKV info using KMP player) ie 1280 x720 and always enter in the correct size, when I play the disc on my PS3 it always has a bright green bar across the whole bottom of the screen approx 20% of the screen height, the movie above the green bar seems to be playing fine and at the correct resolution and aspect ratio, any ideas on this problem?
Thanks

This is a common PS3 problem, with a feature firmware update they might fix this,if you use the DISK on a bluray deck or your pc you wont see any green bars.

If you use 1280x720 and 1920x1080 mkv files you wont see the green boarders. There is a fix for that but i have to rewrite the whole code and i dont have the time at the moment.

A thousand curses on Sony and their Playstation 3 for not letting me play easily converted MKV to DVD9 pirated films! I shall email them IMMEDIAETLY and demand that they fix this in their next fireware release, and why they are doing that to also include PS3 game rip ISO loading from DVD9 or external hard drive
But seriously, it would be great if you could find time to look at this problem, Gherudos, as I'm sure the most Blu-Ray players out there are PS3 machines (someone correct me if i'm wrong on this), but it might be time for me to maybe look at buying a standalone Blu-Ray player, any recommendations people?, the Samsung ones look good value. -
[quote="badmrtoad"]A thousand curses on Sony
Well the Samsung p1500 works well but only plays AVCHD discs.
I can not get 'Advanced High Definition Video Disk Creator v2.9B(AVCHD DVD) UPDATED' to work at home. I have followed all of the instructions but the .iso which is created in the root of 'c' drive is only 1.2mb in size! Any ideas anyone?Genii nor fools may work without tools! -
hi everybody i'm new here
this tool looks great, i can see lot of you succesfully use it, but i cant
can someone help?
i cant see for example an create iso button, but just create 1st disk button on the right of create meta.
and when i do it, IMGBURN sw tell me that DISK1 Folder doesnt exist (in the bat that create it self the program is missing the mkdir command.
whatever, if i create it manually, than imgburn ask me that i have just selected one folder, and it ask if DISK1 rappresent the root directory of the image content, if i click on yes, than i got the error
"no files or folder were added to the image"
if i clik no, imgburn works like create the image in one second, but than the folder off course is empty.
i dont want to split the disk, but i swar that i never see the create iso button. for me is not a problem to use an DVD9
any advises?
thanks in advance
