  1. I honestly can't remember the last time they aired a classic episode of The Simpsons on Sunday night. Its usually a relatively newer episode if its gonna be a repeat at all. And since most of the other channels that air the simpsons seem to also only air seasons 12+ or so, this was a welcome change. Sure I have the DVD's but its still nice to see the classics get some love.

    it actually caught me by surprise, i knew liz taylor had done maggy's when she spoke her first words, but i didn't realize it was that long ago.

    A lot of the older ones don't measure up to the newer ones. Same with South Park as well.

    i actually agree with zzyzzx's assessment of both the simpsons and south park, i would say that both series have raised their game a few notches overall.
