No Video Preview

Hello all, I thought I had video splitting and joining all figured out, but I hit a road block. I can play my files through VLC and they display a thumbnail image in Windows Explorer.

My problem is that when I try to open in any video splitting software I cannot see video. I have sound but no video. I have tried SolveigMM, Biolsoft and Easy Video Splitter.

I am running Vista 64-bit system.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

VLC is an all in one player which has internal codecs to play your splitting tools have only the formats which they can cut/edit so you must be inserting an unsupported video, what format is the file download mediainfo go> view text and paste the info here.
