Hi,
I used Aplian Replay Media Catcher 3.01 to download CNN Streaming from Livestation where i have subscription.
The result is a .ASF file HD which is not possible to seek to move forward and back ?
How to fix this ASF to be able to move forward and back to seek through the whole file ? What software to use ? Shall I rebuild the index ? Virtual Dub does not work with ASF ...

Try open in asfbin and just save as new asf.

I already tried ASF bin, it seem to be useless. it turns 170MB file into nothing 7 mb and can't be opened... Any other ideas ?

how about transcoding back to same container:
ffmpeg.exe -i "\clips\testclip.asf" -vcodec copy -acodec copy "\clips\testclip_01.asf"
worked fine for me.. try that.

Can you tell me how to convert this to avi or flv or some other format better than asf ?

Use a gui for ffmpeg like xmedia recode and you can easily convert to different formats.
