My local B&M just received a large supply of Aleratec DVD-Rs. I suspect these discs are more outsourced floor droppings if not for the fact that their price is higher than average. I haven't been able to check where they are made yet, but one of the clerks claims it's Taiyo Yuden media.

quite possible. almost all duplicators like to only use t.y. pro grade discs. the company you mention makes duplicators and most likely sources from t.y. and marks up the price about 40%.
t.y. pro grade from here would be a better idea.
