    Hi,

I recently got 2 new LED tvs in my house. A 55' Samsung and a 32' LG. Both are gorgeous but they won't play subtitles on mkv files. I've read this thread https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/330570-MKV-subtitle-issues-with-Samsun-LED-TV?p=2047670
but I don't know how to use subtitle edit to open the subs in the mkv.

It seems the program is just to open subtitles themselves, not video files. Can anyone give me some help and tell me how to use those 2 programs?

Extract the sub from the mkv with mkvmergegui. Name the video and sub like video.mkv and video.srt and see how it works.

    Or extract with mkvextractgui2.
