  1. I installed VOB2MPG and used it some days. I liked it and bought the PRO license.

The program does not have a way to introduce the serial number. I uninstalled the program, deleted VOB2MPG from the registry, installed again and the registration screens never come up. Now, if I use the upgrade to PRO link in the help menu I get:

How can I update with my new PRO license and avoid the error?

  3. Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on an Alienware m15x botebook with 4 GB RAM.

The error is not the main problem. The problem is that I can't input my Serial Number as I never get the registry screen and the program does not have a way to get to it in the menus. I URGENTLY need some of the Pro features (spliting chapters) for a job I have to delver in two days.

Uninstalling and reinstalling did not help to get it to show the registration window.

Indeed but they may be releated. As you have Windows 7 - can you take a look at this thread about installation and Vista/Windows 7 issues?

(In particular: installation in a folder other than "Program Files" and running "As Administrator")

  5. I read the thread, and it refers to installation problems. I have no problem installing, the program is installed and it runs, what I can't do is go from Trial to Pro as I never get the registration window.

  6. Uninstalled and reinstalled again, running as Administrator and to C:\VOB2MPG instead of C:\Program Files.

Same result. The program installs and works, but I can't go from Trial to Pro.

Is there any other way to do the registration/upgrade? I need this working today, PLEASE.

Going thru the ? button on the upper right, click on upgrade to pro, it takes you to the website where you can log in.

Maybe support can advise how to upgrade, unless you need to download the pro version as a different file.

  8. Thank you classfour,

That's what I did, after evaluating the program, I went to (?) and opened the "Users" webpage, paid 12 GBP and received the Serial number in an email. The problem is that the program doesn't have a choice to introduce the Serial Number (it's in the help or About section in other programs) so you don't have a way to go from Demo to Pro.

The website does not have a PRO version download, and Contact US and Forum direct you to THIS forum.

I'm waiting for ChrissyBoy to tell me how to convert my Trial into Pro with the Serial Number I already paid.

you can't upgrade the free version.

In the e-mail with the serial number should be a download link that will lead you to the registered users page.
There you can download the pro version.
Then uninstall the free version and install the pro version in c:/vob2mpg.
The registration will start with the first time startup of the program.

    hope this will help you
