I just captured some footage from a MiniDV camera using a bundled version of Nero 8. But the trial date has expired. The files are on my hard drive and are labelled NVE Capture. NVAI file.
I can load and play them into Nero, but as the trial has expired I can't burn these files to DVD. And can't load these files into any other program. I really don't want to buy a full version of Nero as this will be the last time I burn any DVDs.
Any way I can burn these 2 files ?

Sorry, missed out one part. I had to borrow a miniDV camera as the tapes are in NTSC. Camera is not available again. I was just hoping I could convert the Nero files without having the hassle of trying to find another camera to borrow.
I downloaded Xmedia but it doesn't do it.

next step would be to downloads nero's clean tool and run it..completely remove all traces of nero in your system...then download another demo or trial of it and go from there...see if the trial function will do what u want

What does mediainfo say about the codecs in the capture ?

I read somewhere that NVE re-encodes its captures but you end up with an Mpeg2 file and ac3 audio. Simple as it may sound, have you tried to rename the file as *.mpg ?

I find it hard to believe that you can not load the file in to a dvd authoring program. Some have already been mentioned here but check out the tools section for others.
