Hello,
I just got a Sony Vaio laptop that has W7(64bit) Home Premium on it. I have a program through my company that won't run on a 64 bit OS. I have installed the Virtual Windows with XP mode on my desktop W7 Ultimate pc and the programs works great. But the Virtual Windows with XP mode won't run in W7 Home Premium only W7 Ultimate or Professional. Is there another Virtual program that will work with W7 Home Premium? I don't want to have to uninstall all of the Sony stuff that is has on it. Or can I just buy a W7 Ultimate disc and upgrade my W7 Premium without loosing my stuff on the c drive?
Thanks

Microsoft VirtualPC, VirtualBox, VMWare. But all three will require an XP license and install disc.

I believe the Anytime Upgrade to W7 Ultimate will allow you to upgrade without a fresh install.

They can be found cheaper elsewhere of course...Last edited by jagabo; 4th Oct 2010 at 13:11.
