Hello,
I have been successfully using VirtualDub 1.9.9 with the Quicktime plugin to convert the MOV video files produced by a Panasonic LX3 to AVI, using the x264vfw codec.
When I open some MOV video files produced by an iPhone with VirtualDub they all appear black. They play fine with Media Player Classic.
Does anybody know what could be the problem and how can I fix it?
The container and codec information of the files shown by GSpot are:
qt : Apple QuickTime (.MOV/QT)
File Type: QuickTime (.MOV)
Mime Type: video/quicktime
Recommended Display Size: 1280 x 720

Do you have to use virtualdub? A basic ffmpeg frontend like xmedia recode would probably work fine.

Actually I didn't have to use Virtualdub. Xmedia Recode worked just fine, thanks a lot for the suggestion!
