Convert to EA VP61

I can already convert to EA VP60 (a unique version for EA Games).
I need to convert to EA VP61 which has an alpha channel that there systems can read.
I cannot use other versions of VP61.

FFDShow does not convert to this nor does any other codec I can find. Siberian_Gremlin wrote a tool to convert to EA VP60 but has gone silent. Does anyone know how to convert to EA VP61

How is it different from "vanilla" VP61 ? Is it just header or metadata difference ?

Can you open the file in mediainfo(view=>text) and post the information back here ?

have you tried vp6a , which is the "normal" version of vp6 with alpha ?

can you post a sample ?

I'll upload a copy of the file, but my problem isn't playing the file. I need to convert my files to the EA VP61 format and that I cannot do. I can only convert to EA VP60 and I need the alpha channel in the EA VP61 format.

Well, it won't upload...tells me its an invalid format, its .vp6 Is there a website like imageshack I could link it to for you?

I'm using VirtualDub 1.9.9 w/vfw codec ,,, but it won't play it either.

what I mean is what application are you using this for ? you are inserting this EA VP61 file into somehting right? how are you testing if it's valid or not? you're not just encoding for fun - If I were to guess you are trying to mod a game ?

Yes I'm modding RotWK (EA Games). I've been able to using VP6 BUILDER by Siberian_Gremlin to convert VP60 to EA VP60. The tool is part of the VP6 Tools Package here: http://www.the3rdage.net/item-170?addview
