Hi
I'm curious to know if the space allocated to the menus are fixed or if this will just be as big as needed to accommodate the most elaborate menus?
Is there a limit to the size or depth of the menu structure?
I'm not about to create a multi level menu on my DVD's but just curious to learn.
Thanks for your time.

Yes, there are limits. Some can be worked around, some cannot.
For 4:3 menus you are limited to no more than 32 linked buttons per page. For 16:9 menus it is 16 items.
Menus may not cross VOBs, so a menu can be no larger than 1000MB (the largest size of a single VOB).
I believe there is also a limit of 99 menu pages per VTS, and 99 titles per VTS, although you may want to confirm that.
Unfortunately the full specification is only available at great costs, so many of the finer details aren't immediately obvious, and many of the limitations aren't hit in normal authoring anyway.Read my blog here.

Not all software uses the full spec anyway -- always refer to the software manual for these questions.
I have at least 10 different authorwares, and all act different.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)
