This may have absolutely nothing to do with Video but I thought I might ask.
I was in Turkey last week and bought my little boy a small waterfall for his desk. It has an pump inside that does the water movement.
QUESTION:
Turkey is 220 volt 50 Hz
USA is 120 volt 60 HZ
Here in the USA, when I plug in the waterfall the water slowly moves - like a quiet, calm stream. In Turkey, when I plugged it in the water moves rapidly, gurgling, and splashing about like a marvelous waterfall. How can I increase the pump speed?
Thank you
Andy

You have to use a step up/down converter, (ibid.):

Check the output voltage of the existing wall transformer, along with the output amperage. Also check if it's AC or DC, but probably DC. Then find a 110V one with the correct output and connector. Worst case, cut the cable on the 220V and replace the connector on the new one by splicing and taping the cable back together.
Places like RadioShack have wall transformers with interchangeable connectors as another option.
This would be better in our Off Topic Forum. Moving.
